We care about our outstanding services, both in community care and supported living,
where people choose the place they live and how they share their accommodation
Touchwood is a five-bedroom house in the beautiful Dorset town of Christchurch. It is famous for its priory, Quay and historic town.
A most relaxing place, there are plenty of restaurants, coffee houses and a favourite of visitors to the region for many years.
Christchurch is close to beaches, the New Forest and Bournemouth.
The people who live at Touchwood have various hobbies and leisure pursuits and access this beautiful region daily.
A recent survey of the residents showed that they love their home, the area and the way that the staff individually support them
We offer person centred support that encourages independence and development along with an emphasis on each person living the life of their choosing. We are aware of the hopes, dreams and aspirations of the people who live at Touchwood and we are passionate about supporting them as individuals in line with the needs and wishes.
One of our support workers, Nicola Dancer said, “I love being a support worker at Touchwood, it’s rewarding knowing that you are making a difference”
One of the residents said, “Best House ever” another said, “the staff are good and supportive” and another gave us a ‘thumbs up’
We are determined together to provide a service with a smile on its face, a place to grow, achieve and make memories.

“I was made to feel very welcome when I visited the service, and was impressed at the homeliness and ‘atmosphere’ of the home, it felt positive and friendly. The positive support and input from yourself and your team enabled us all to ensure that our client was at the centre of our discussions and that his needs were at all times paramount.

I would like to thank you and your team for welcoming me yesterday.
It has been very informative for me and I had the opportunity to learn and practice so much. I really appreciated how friendly you all were. Although I was initially quite nervous due to having limited experience with PMLD population, you and the rest of the team eased me in and showed me how you care for all your residents.
I also noticed how personalised care can be delivered in such a respectful manner in a residential setting. It was really inspirational to see how all your staff work with residents in such a caring way and the amount of knowledge they have about the specific needs of every individual. Within a short period of time, I was able to observe a professional, friendly and caring attitude from all the staff. This clearly makes all the residents feel at home and at ease.
Thank you so much for allowing me to practice key nursing skills whilst providing guidance. It has been a really great day for me.
