We care about our outstanding services, both in community care and supported living,
where people choose the place they live and how they share their accommodation
Hannacott is a 6 bedded residential home for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities. All of our service users have their own room with an en-suite wet room. There is a shared lounge and dining area, and all of our food is home cooked and healthy. Outside we have a large, wheelchair accessible, garden.
Our service users’ days are varied and full and they contribute to the running of the home to the best of their abilities. There are numerous in-house activities including; music therapy, massage, exercise sessions, film nights, baking, arts and crafts and indoor games. We also make full use of the community with visits to the local pub for lunch, shopping trips into town, swimming, 10 pin bowling and days out. Our service users have been on holidays, both in England and abroad, and live full and active lives.
Our stable and well-trained staff team means that we know our service users really well and are able to maximise their strengths and independence. Our GP visits every month and our service users attend the dentist on a regular basis. Eye tests are carried out yearly by a local optician.
We are one big family, and respect for each other is a key principle of who we are. Promoting dignity and maximising strengths is at the centre of everything we do.
Hannacott is a fun place to live and work. Our service users and staff are happy and there is a great atmosphere. Music can be heard every day, alongside laughter.
We are really proud of our service and the standards of care and support that we provide to our service users and to each other.
Meet the Manager
I have worked in the care sector for over 10 years, working with people with a range of different needs during that time.
This has included working with older people, people living with Dementia, with mental health needs, with learning disabilities and with physical disabilities. I enjoy making a difference with people, hopefully enriching lives in the process. My previous registrations are for a mental health residential care home, and as area manager for a company providing support to people throughout Gloucestershire different locations supporting a variety of needs, from learning disabilities through to mental health services.
“I would just like to let you know I love working with the staff at Rehabillity UK, I love my job and I’m obviously a council candidate for the area I work in until further notice I wouldn’t mind going full time.”

“I was made to feel very welcome when I visited the service, and was impressed at the homeliness and ‘atmosphere’ of the home, it felt positive and friendly. The positive support and input from yourself and your team enabled us all to ensure that our client was at the centre of our discussions and that his needs were at all times paramount.

I would like to thank you and your team for welcoming me yesterday.
It has been very informative for me and I had the opportunity to learn and practice so much. I really appreciated how friendly you all were. Although I was initially quite nervous due to having limited experience with PMLD population, you and the rest of the team eased me in and showed me how you care for all your residents.
I also noticed how personalised care can be delivered in such a respectful manner in a residential setting. It was really inspirational to see how all your staff work with residents in such a caring way and the amount of knowledge they have about the specific needs of every individual. Within a short period of time, I was able to observe a professional, friendly and caring attitude from all the staff. This clearly makes all the residents feel at home and at ease.
Thank you so much for allowing me to practice key nursing skills whilst providing guidance. It has been a really great day for me.
