We care about our outstanding services, both in community care and supported living,
where people choose the place they live and how they share their accommodation
Aspects 2 is part of Rehability UK
We provide outstanding care and support to adults with Learning Disabilities and /or Autism, which enables and empowers them to live a life that makes sense to them.
We are based in Stroud, Gloucestershire, and support adults in and around the Stroud area, Gloucester, Tewkesbury and Cheltenham. The local towns and the city of Gloucester are well connected via public transport, and close to the Cotswolds (our local Area of Outstanding Beauty). The adults we support live mainly in Supported Living settings, some with 24/7 staffing, some with less, depending on need.
The adults we support live in their own houses or flats, with their own tenancy agreements. We can provide support to anyone, regardless of the level or type of disability, and people are supported to make choices about how to live their lives even if they do not make choices in conventional ways. Some adults share with others and some choose to live alone, and everyone is supported to be as independent as possible, learn new skills, make new friends and get out and about locally. We know from the relationships we have built with the people we support locally that living as independently as possible, having choice over who they live and where, having opportunities to find work, and make friends and form relationships are hugely important- we can help to make this happen.
A day in the life of…
I’m Nicky and I live in Ebley, near Stroud. I am supported by the staff from Aspects 2. I share my house with my two housemates, and I like to keep myself very busy. I go to the gym regularly (I have my own personal trainer) and I have a part time job working as an office assistant in our local Aspects 2 office in Stroud. I work here every Thursday- I take care of the post- I use the franking machine for this- and I answer the phones. I work with Jane, the office manager, and take care of all the general administration tasks. I love working here and am looking forward to getting my own desk. It’s really important to me to be able to work, although it can be a struggle fitting it in alongside the gym, drama group, youth club, shopping, and seeing my boyfriend…!
I have started working for Aspects 2 recently. The first few weeks were a smooth integration into a fantastically rewarding and fun job. The staff have such respect and dedication to the people we support- it is inspiring. Everyone has been so welcoming and I already feel I have been part of the company for a long time. I particularly value supporting people to remain as independent as possible in their daily lives.

“I was made to feel very welcome when I visited the service, and was impressed at the homeliness and ‘atmosphere’ of the home, it felt positive and friendly. The positive support and input from yourself and your team enabled us all to ensure that our client was at the centre of our discussions and that his needs were at all times paramount.

I would like to thank you and your team for welcoming me yesterday.
It has been very informative for me and I had the opportunity to learn and practice so much. I really appreciated how friendly you all were. Although I was initially quite nervous due to having limited experience with PMLD population, you and the rest of the team eased me in and showed me how you care for all your residents.
I also noticed how personalised care can be delivered in such a respectful manner in a residential setting. It was really inspirational to see how all your staff work with residents in such a caring way and the amount of knowledge they have about the specific needs of every individual. Within a short period of time, I was able to observe a professional, friendly and caring attitude from all the staff. This clearly makes all the residents feel at home and at ease.
Thank you so much for allowing me to practice key nursing skills whilst providing guidance. It has been a really great day for me.
